In 1889, Fusajiro Yamauchi began producing Hanafuda playing cards in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto. This was the beginning of Nintendo. Decades later, the company’s third president, Hiroshi Yamauchi, took the helm. Through his fresh ideas paired with his ability to act boldly on his intuition, he transformed Nintendo into the globally acclaimed game maker that you know today.
